The Femmepire Internship Program consists of eight young women in the final chapter of their high school careers. They all share a love for creating positive change, the power that comes with a supportive girl gang, and collaborating in fun photoshoots, of course! Together, our mission is to put passion into action, improving the world, starting today. Each Femmepire Intern will be executing their own Service Project to benefit a cause that is dear to them. Whether that is collecting resources for local organizations, hosting an event to unite those in their community, or creating awareness for causes through social media, these interns are creating tangible change in their communities and setting the positive tone that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives!
Kylie's Service Project: Blankets for Doernbecher
Doernbecher’s Child Life Therapy Department distributes new blankets to their patients to keep them warm during their stay at the hospital. Being a patient, especially as a child, can be very traumatic, and there is no comfort like a soft, warm blanket to cuddle with in a cold hospital room. During the Holiday Season, Doernbecher receives many toys and blankets for infants, toddlers and preschool age children, but the older children and teenagers are often left out. So, we are collecting new/hand made blankets for the teen patients at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital!
